Terms and Conditions

1. Your contract is with Southwest Charters, Lda. A contract exists as soon as we issue our confirmation number. Please check the details of your confirmation invoice carefully to insure all details are correct.

2. When making your booking you must pay a deposit of €1,000. The balance of your holiday must be paid for at least eight (8) weeks before your departure date. If the balance is not paid in time, we may cancel your booking and retain your deposit. If payment is late, clients will be charged an additional 2% surcharge per month of the balance overdue. Once booked, the agreed price of your holiday is guaranteed by Southwest Charters.

3. If you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way, we will do our best to accommodate your request, but it may not always be possible. Any request must be done so in writing, and may incur an additional administration charge.

4. If you wish to cancel your holiday, you must do so in writing. Southwest Charters will retain all, or part of your deposit, at our discretion. We will do our utmost to be fair in this matter - if we rebook your charter slot, we will refund your full deposit.

5. We reserve the right to terminate the charter of any client, who refuses to comply with the instructions of our staff, or whose behaviour is likely to cause distress, damage, danger or annoyance to other customers, staff, a third party or to property.

6. Southwest Charters accepts no responsibility for the actions of its clients whether negligent or otherwise and shall not be held liable for any claims made against them either by other clients or third parties.

7. All our yachts and equipment are comprehensively insured and we have third party cover for €750,000 for the skipper and crew. A refundable deposit must be paid at the time of your final payment to cover accidental damage to the charter yachts and or the equipment such as the tender, outboard motor or snorkelling equipment etc;

8. Southwest Charter insists that all clients must heed the advice given to them by our experienced staff at all times regarding the safety of certain passages, weather conditions, water conditions, etc;
